Shelly

In the quiet hum of the vet clinic, I found my true calling in life. For me, it’s not just a job; it’s a profound vocation woven into the very fabric of my being. From a young age, I sensed a unique connection with animals, an unspoken language that drew me closer to them. Working here isn’t just about diagnosing illnesses or administering treatments; it’s about understanding their silent cues, interpreting their pain, and being their voice when they have none. Every wag of a tail, every purr, and even the nervous twitch of a whisker reaffirms that I’m fulfilling a purpose greater than myself. In this haven of healing, I’ve discovered my life’s mission: to protect and nurture the beautiful souls that share this Earth with us.

Sasha

As an ardent animal lover, my journey at the vet clinic is a dream come true. Every day, I’m privileged to witness the powerful bond between pets and their humans. Whether it’s a joyful puppy wagging its tail or a senior cat receiving gentle care, each moment is a testament to the beauty of our furry companions. My role in this compassionate team allows me to provide comfort, healing, and support to these creatures who rely on us. It’s immensely fulfilling to be part of their journey towards health and happiness. Working here, I get to live my passion while making a real difference in their lives.

James

James, a passionate animal lover with over a decade of experience, currently cares for his three cherished dogs: Gordon, a 130lb Dogo Argentino; Akira, a 26lb Pomeranian mix; and foster dog Autumn, a 70lb Blue Nose Pit. His dogs are like his own children, and he finds immense joy in their company.

Melba

As a mother of six children deeply involved in church volunteering and orphan support in Mexico, I began working at SVAMH when I brought my pet in for care. Initially assisting with reception, I impressed Dr. Zito with my quick learning and dedication. She appointed me as her confidential assistant, and I now serve as the hospital administrator alongside Karen, enabling Dr. Zito to focus on medicine and surgery. This role is my first job since starting a family, and my husband and family are proud and supportive of my achievements.

Karen

I have worked intermittently in the veterinary field for years as well as being a
hairdresser, dog groomer, life guard, and mother. I was hired at SVAMH a few
years ago as a veterinary receptionist. Now I am the hospital manager and am
very happy to be a part of Spring Valley Animal Medical Hospital family.

Life’s most beautiful surprises often come unannounced, and my love for animals bloomed in me unexpectedly. Initially, I had no idea that the soft nuzzle of a horse or the playful antics of a kitten could stir such profound emotions. Working at this vet clinic, I embarked on a journey I never anticipated. Every day, I’m enchanted by the resilience of creatures big and small, their ability to love unconditionally, and the way they enrich our lives. Through their eyes, I’ve discovered a world of compassion and empathy I never knew existed within me. Now, I find solace in their presence, joy in their antics, and purpose in ensuring their well-being. This newfound love has become the guiding force in my life, reminding me daily of the boundless beauty of the animal kingdom.

Andrea

As an unwavering animal enthusiast, my heart beats in harmony with the paws, claws, and tails that grace our vet clinic. Each day, I step into a world filled with the boundless love and trust of our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. It’s a privilege to be their advocate, soothing their fears and healing their ailments. Witnessing the resilience of these creatures and the sheer joy they bring to their owners fills me with purpose. Whether it’s comforting a nervous pup or aiding a majestic feline, this clinic is my sanctuary, where compassion and care merge into a symphony of hope and healing.
